Well, the first three months of this year have seen no action on this project. No real good excuse, just haven't had inspiration to work on it much. Yesterday and today I've just been doing some maintenance to the site. Had a strange problem with iPads where it wouldn't fully fit the screen. That was a pretty simple fix once I found the issue. Already April and I'm just now doing the homepage wipe. Pretty sad since there really isn't much to look at here. However, it is fun to look back at the history page and browse throught the various years to see what I posted or accomplished back then. Today also marks the 17th anniversary of my senior thesis show in college. That was the last major personal short film I completed, if you can even call it a short film. Today happens to be a Sunday, so it's even the same day of the week. Purely coincidence that I was updating the site today. I really thought I would have more short films done by this time or be working at PIXAR, lol...er. Just amazing how time flies.
Not entirely sure how I feel about marking this date in this way. I have done a lot of work in that time both professionally and personally, but it does make me feel a bit sad when it comes to this project. I started this site locally as a reminder to work and finish this film, and while I am glad I did, I am also disappointed in my slow progress over the years. Even now, I've spent the past hour and a half doing website stuff when I could have been blocking in a shot! I try not to beat myself up about it, I guess that's why they call it a labor of love.
