DOOM ยท SNAPMAP INTRO

Kevin Cloud wanted to have an intro animation similar to what I had done for the credit sequence of the main game for a Doom SnapMap series of videos showcasing community work. I made this shortly after the game shipped and just kept adding as many monsters as I could to the scene. This is probably the largest "cinematic scene" in terms of number of objects and characters. Took quite some time to get all the monsters and characters setup and posed. Initially I was only going to animate the camera and logo, but it seemed like it needed a little more. I ended up reposing the end so I could animate the players and monsters into the last position. I also wanted the snapmap logo to have some interesting motion and decided to use the uac logo as a gear that brings the words together. Chad Mossholder provided some sound effects for that and I even learned how to stamp blood into the scene to help tie everything together.
