DOOM · INTERACTIONS

We had a lot of first person interactions in this game. Everything from simple touchscreen button pushes to ripping off a dead technician's arm. Many times this would involve world objects as well. I did most of the hard surface rigging in this game from one joint doors to thirty joint doors or more complex setups like the medical station, in addition to the animations on the object and player. I also created a mel script to generate all the data need to tie everything together in-game for these type of multi object animations. This made all of the necessary files and then let you view it in-game quickly with one or two button presses. That script could be used for any type of animation involving multiple objects or characters that needed to be played in-sync and was particularly useful for things like this, as well as weapon pickups, etc.
