MORNING WARM UP... · 21 APRIL 2025
I've tried several things in the past to get some momentum on this project. We'll see how long this latest attempt lasts, but I'm going to try and put in one hour before work on animating these shots. I'm sort of thinking of it as a sort of warm up for the day. None of the shots are really that difficult and at this point, I just want to get them all in. Maybe go back later and try to polish and enhance ones that stick out. With so many and so little energy and time, just getting anything will make me happy at this point. I try not to beat myself up about this project, but I still want to get it done. Started blocking this one in the morning and came back to it tonight to get the rest. Working already! Though, looking at this in sequence, I can tell it will take a bit of to get the hook up like I'm envionsing in my mind.

Small update, but since this shot is so short figured I should at least do a first pass spline on it. Also added a camera tilt up to help direct attention to the Alien. Some subtle motion on the Robot in the foreground, but don't want that to be too distratcting. Works pretty well in sequence with the previous shot.

I don't know how the months melt away so fast but here we are again, already April. Seems like no matter how hard I try, the only time I can really work on this project is when I'm not thinking about any other work. Got a random day off from work so I figured I would force myself to block the next shot. Should have done this back in January, but that's the way it goes...
